Thank you for stopping by and visiting my website. Progress is happening, and it's time to spring forward!
What happened to March? Life seems to have just pushed forward into April! Spring is more and more evident with the daffodils in bloom and the new red foliage on the plum trees out in the yard. The rose bush seems to have sprung to life overnight. And oh yes, the coming on of allergies!
So for my story telling:
Only last week, I woke up with sneezing, eyes watering, and nose running. I couldn’t believe it! On my way to the local Wal-Mart to find some relief in capsule form, I stepped out only to find that my truck was completely covered in pollen! Thanking God that the water hose was conveniently nearby, I quickly went on the attack, and washed away as much of the culprit that I could see between sneezing fits.
That was Wednesday. I was fighting the allergy battle with the aid of Claritin, but was relieved to hear that storms were a'coming! Storms were to be coming by the weekend into the area from the west. This was great news! God was going to take care of ALL the pollen. Sure enough, on Friday night, the heavy rains begin to pour on and off. I was thrilled that I could breathe through my nose, and that my throat was no longer all scratchy.
By Saturday evening, however, I found myself agitated. What a sight I must be when it happens? Why, I was pacing the floor, rubbing my hands…all in all, the tell-tale sign that “company” is around.
My friend’s family had already retired to their rooms for the evening, but she and I was up through the night discussing and planning for the coming week. As we were talking, I continued my agitated stance.
What was I doing?
I was moving from chair to chair, walking (well, actually shuffling my socked feet across the wooden floors) the length of the living room and connecting hallway, rubbing my hands together, and having my head twitch every now and then.
I finally cried out, “UGH!! Who or what is around me??? Pamela, I know someone is visiting, but I can’t see them! I don’t have a reading scheduled this weekend! Where are the salts?”
Pamela, my friend since high school days, simply looks up at me and calmly replies, “Lynda, look out the window.”
I stopped mid-shuffle, put my hands on my hips, and hung my head in shame. I didn’t have to look out the window. The booming of the thunder was all around and the lightning could be seen through the closed blinds.
For a medium, a lightening storm is just another “electrical surge” between the world of physical and spirit.
Each and every day seems to be a lesson or a reminder for me. There are things that I still cannot explain or understand. I put my trust and faith in God, and let Him take care of the rest.
Because of some of these lessons, changes are being made to the website. I thank you for your prayers and your patience. Please enjoy and don't forget to drop me a line or too from the contact page.
Blessings and hugs,
Lynda
